United Group inks PPP deal with Bangladesh Railway for Establishment of Multi-Specialty Hospital

United Group has signed a Concession Agreement with Bangladesh Railway on 18th March 2020 to build a 500 Bed modern hospital under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) at an estimated cost of over BDT 3.98 billion.

The Additional Chief Engineer & Project Director of Bangladesh Railway, Md. Ahsan Jabir and the Managing Director of United Group, Moinuddin Hasan Rashid signed the agreement on behalf of their respective concerns.

As per the Agreement, United Group will set up the 500 bed multi-specialty hospital and a 100 seat medical college on PPP basis on railway owned property in Chattogram. The hospital will provide healthcare services to Bangladesh Railway employees at a discounted rate.

Railway Minister, Mr. Nurul Islam Sujan, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He thanked United Group for participating in the implementation of such an important project of the government of Bangladesh. Among others, Chief Executive of the PPP authority Al Kamal Siddique, Senior Secretary of the Railways Ministry Md Mofazzal Hossain and Director General of the Bangladesh Railway Md. Shamsuzzaman were present at the signing ceremony.
